Like its predecessor, the Godox GM6S On-Camera Monitor is a compact, 5.5″ device with a lightweight design but features an updated screen with 1200 cd/m² brightness. An HDMI input and output support both DCI and UHD 4K video. A camera control interface is available to communicate settings to the camera from the monitor with separately available proprietary cables. A 3.5mm headphone jack outputs audio for monitoring on set. Up to twenty-five 3D LUTS can be loaded into the monitor using the SD card slot.

Multiple function buttons can be configured to toggle between different settings and image monitoring tools. A single L-series battery plate, DC input, or USB Type-C port can power the monitor depending on your needs on set. The GM6S also has a DC output port to supply 7.8V of power to additional accessories. Included with the monitor is a sun hood to improve outdoor visibility and a cold shoe mount that attaches to any of the three 1/4″-20 threads.
